Margot Robbie's fans think they may have found a secret online account belonging to the actress.

Several fans of the 31-year-old are convinced they've discovered her Letterboxd account, which contains spoilers for the upcoming Barbie movie.

Letterboxd is a social media platform, designed for film fans, where they can share their opinions about movies.

Really her? Margot Robbie's fans think they may have found a secret online account belonging to the actress

According to screenshots shared by TikTok user Nicholas Janzen, Margot goes by the name 'Maggie Ackerley' on the platform.

The Australian actress has been married to British film producer Tom Ackerley since 2016, but still uses her maiden name publicly.

The account has since been deleted, but Janzen was able to take screenshots, including one of a list of films that supposedly inspired her role in the Barbie movie.

Listed as inspirations for the film were Puberty Blues, The Young Girls of Rochefort, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Splash and The Truman Show.

'She quickly deactivated today once fans became aware of it,' Janzen explained in a video posted to TikTok on Wednesday.

'There was one interesting tidbit of information that came from this discovery: this list on her page titled "Watch for Barbie".'

As speculation grew about whether or not it was actually Margot's account, Letterboxd issued a statement on Twitter.

'Margot Robbie does not officially have a Letterboxd that we know of,' read the tweet.

It was announced back in October that Margot would be taking on the titular role in the upcoming movie, alongside Ryan Gosling as Ken.

In April, a photo was released of the actress as Barbie sitting in a pink convertible on the film's brightly coloured set.

While details about the upcoming film are still scarce, it will be directed by Greta Gerwig, with Margot stepping into the lead role after Amy Schumer dropped out.

The film will feature an all-star cast, with Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Michael Cera and Kate McKinnon all set to star.

Others in the cast include Nicola Coughlan, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Alexandra Shipp and Rhea Perlman.

The film is slated for release next year, and is being touted as 'a fish-out-of-water story about a doll who is ousted from toy society for not being perfect enough', according to a report by Vulture on Wednesday.

She then comes to the realisation that what's on the inside is more important than her appearance.
