He's portrayed one of the world's most famous secret agents for more than a decade, and has encountered criminals from all walks of life.

But Daniel Craig was no match for a pesky ring light as he was completely unaware that he was bleeding from his forehead during an interview with Javier Bardem for the Variety's Actors on Actors series.

The 53-year-old No Time to Die star, who has played James Bond for 15 years, was oblivious to the wound on his head as he chatted with his Skyfall co-star via Zoom.

Whoops! Daniel Craig was no match for a pesky ring light as he was completely unaware that he was bleeding from his forehead during an interview with Javier Bardem for the Variety's Actors on Actors series

'Let me ask you, my friend, this last question: "What happened to you here?"' Bardem asked while pointing to a spot on Craig's head.

'Where? Did I bash my head?' Craig responded while feeling around for the mark on his skull.

'Have I just got sandwich on my head? Have I done this whole interview— it's probably a part of a sandwich!'

Oh no! Both Daniel and Javier erupted into fits of laughter while Craig stood up to look in the mirror for a better vantage

Both Daniel and Javier erupted into fits of laughter while Craig stood up to look in the mirror for a better vantage.

'You know what it was? Christ,' Craig said. 'So, they've sent me this wonderful ring flash, which I've set up with an iPad in the middle of it. And I went like this like that and it just fell on my head just before we started!'

He added: 'No wonder I get f***ing injured every time I do a movie!'

'Thank you for pointing out. No, literally, I just was setting this up and it went donk and I'm like, "ow! Jesus!" I'm not bleeding to death. It's just a whatever. If I don't get injured while filming, I'm not doing it properly.'

Daniel began playing James Bond in 2006 with Casino Royale, and has since starred in Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time To Die.

His first major injury for the Bond series was with Casino Royale where he smashed out his two front teeth while filming a fight scene.

Craig was forced to wear a sling during the promotional tour in 2008 after he had surgery to repair his shoulder, but he chalked it up to an old injury that likely needed attention following his rigorous Bond lifestyle.

'It wasn’t an essential operation but if I don’t do it now, I could do something on the next movie and rip it out of its socket,' he told the Telegraph. 'It’s just a pain in the ass, really, and it’ll be a long wait before it heals properly.'

Daniel sprained his knee while filming Spectre, and in 2019 suffered an ankle injury during No Time To Die which required minor surgery and weeks of rehabilitation.

He must work out: Daniel began playing James Bond in 2006 with Casino Royale, and has since starred in Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time To Die
