When it emerged that they were putting their Nolita homes up for sale, John explained their reasoning to the Wall Street Journal.

He shared: 'We’ve realized that because of work and everything, we’re really mostly going to be in Los Angeles, so we’re going to focus our home-building energy and renovation energy on what we’re doing in LA.'

John said of the New York homes: 'We love being there. But we’re just not there enough to justify putting in the time and energy to combine apartments.'

Chrissy was spotted stepping out in Los Angeles this week wearing a smile and a sleek black ensemble including a long blazer.

Her latest sighting comes in the wake of her attempts to move on from her cyberbullying scandal, in which she was accused of having told the then-teenage Courtney Stodden over private message to commit suicide.

She and her Oscar-winning husband have been married since 2013 and have two children together - Luna, five, and Miles, three.
